Motions for stay relief must be scheduled to be heard within 30 days of filing. 11 U.S.C. Section 362(d) NOTE: The following list may contain dates that no longer comply with notice requirements found in the Local Rules for the District of New Jersey. It is the responsibility of the e:filer to ensure proper notice. The court will reschedule improperly listed matters and the e:filer will receive a Notice of Electronic Filing indicating the correct date. It is the responsibility of the e:filer to notify all interested parties of the change. Continuous scheduling errors may result in a revocation of the e:filer's password and log-in. NOTE: Certain motions, applications and objections do not require a hearing, but the e:filer will still be presented with the Hearing Information screen. This screen can be skipped by clicking on the [Next] button. The following events do not require a hearing date to be entered by the e:filer:
- Application and Order to Show Cause
- Applications to Employ
- Application and Order Shortening Time
- Applications for Compensation $1,000.00 or less
- Objections and Responses to matters that already have hearing dates
- Please refer to the User Guide for additional information.
All motions that require notice to be sent by the court must be scheduled for a minimum of 28 days from the date of filing.
